materiały: płyty wiórowe, gips, biała farba, herbata z cytryną

Zbudowałem i podniosłem na kilkanaście centymetrów podłogę z płyt wiórowych, w której wycięty, a następnie obniżony został kwadrat o wymiarach 30cm x 30cm. Wycięty obszar pokryłem cienką warstwą gipsu, a do środka wlałem silnie aromatyczny wywar z herbaty z cytryną. Płyn wsiąkał, a przez kilka minut w galerii unosiła się jego woń.

Praca odnosi się do ostatnich słów człowieka, a pretekstem do jej powstania były ostatnie słowa mojej babci, które usłyszałem. Były nimi "herbatę z cytryną".

Epitaph for the last words

 

Realized in the gallery of studio 16, in Eugeniusz Geppert's Academy of Fine Art and Design in Wrocław, 2018 

I built and lifted a chipboard floor by several centimeters, in which I cut out a 30cm x 30cm square and lowered it to create a small square pit of sorts. I covered the cut area with a thin layer of plaster, and poured into it a very pungent lemon tea. The liquid soaked in the pit, and for several minutes the pungent smell filled the entire gallery.
 

The installation refers to the last words of a human being. The pretext for its creation were the last words I heard from my grandmother. They were "tea with lemon".
